I have worked with GM for sooooo much time. It is a great program, but has limitations. I know our company is still new but I want to find a better game engine for us.
Game Maker is a program made for nobs. Well I don't mean it is bad. But other software with a "more open scripts" - or a language that lets programmers customize and build each block of its game. That is why GM has so many extensions and Dlls. Because it needs lots of things it doesn't have.
C++, Visual Basic...are better languages to make PROFFESIONAL games. I realy want Dog's revolution to be a commercial game, our first commercial game, and with game maker is very difficoult to make a commercial game.
This is what I think, I don't know if you will agree...
