Tell the game to shoot the direction the sprite is turned by using variables.
Example: (Not real code) When sprite is at this position shoot this direction?
or when sprite is at this angle shoot "this" (the same direction as the angle) direction. Very Happy

You dont have to use code just use variables (numbers or letters that equall something) its somewhere on the non-code place. So you just say Variable "whatever you call it" is equal (activated when) to this angle (angle= the way the sprite is facing) tells to shoot in the same direction that the sprite is facing
If the sprite is facing right variable "whatchumacalit" is activated and tells it to shoot right only.

yah but I want it to shoot in a directions -360 degrees, all degrees.

and when I press space it shoots it in any of those 360 degree.

I press the left key is goes through the 360 degrees counter-colockwise

I press the right key it goes through the degrees as clockwise.

I let go of the keys it stops at theone of those 360 degrees the image index stops on

Ok ill say it in non coders terms. You tell gamemaker (by using the buttons, not code) to shoot the same direction of the sprite. If the sprite is facing "right" then tell it to shoot right. Maybe ill make an example for u. I dont realy have time though and im not too good at it myself. Just trying to help. Im pretty sure that how you do it though.

Use the built-in variable "direction". That will give the current direction, or the last direction moved. (default happens to be right)

Oh and if you are using "image_angle" to rotate sprite then add this to step event:
direction = image_angle

I could probably do it for you, if you get me the game. Of course, you wont be able to do anything with it, and Ill have to compile it for you, but Ill do it if you want.
