| I searched some posts on the GM forum, and i finally find the answer. 39DLL IS THE ANSWER TO MAKING LOGINS, STORING POINTS, EVERITHING. Using MYSQL directly from GM is INSECURE, becouse people can find user/pass from the sql server and mess arround with it. FTP is the same... And using client/server is not possible for us. Because we dont have a pc that can be on all day! So we will use (if everyone agrees ) mysql with php. BUT MYSQL IS INSECURE!!! With PHP, MYSQL is fully secure! What do you think about my idea ( ) | |

| I just wanted a gm app that gets variables from php files, also checks user information. A WAY OF USING PHP TO READ/WRITE FROM A MYSQL DATABASE. So no web browser (if you want to use web browser, im fine with it ) | |

Well I suggest a 2-8 player game, in which a player hosts the game (as a server) and the other players connect to the hoster | |

| Well.... That sounds very hard, but I guess thats what it takes to make a good game... I have never built a internal server inside the game itself before..... | |

| Idk.... but, I'm guessing the skys the limit, we could let the internal server when initiated to host, can lookup his/her IP from http://www.whatismyip.com then send that IP to whoever is waiting to connect... Then when connected, the clients may send their x/y values to the host, and the host can distribute them... This will create less lag among the clients, and more upon the host, so you may need to have a good Internet connection to exist as a host... | |

| That my friend would require a server, I'm quite sure, or a host.... so we could set one dude as a host, then he could have a button on his GUI, or it could happen automaticly if the system detects lag, by sending data to each person, and finding out how quickly he responds with the responding data, and whoever sends the correct data response the fastest, is the new Host! I'm a genuis! =D | |

| well we dont need online mode yet until we have that dashboard thing set up so maybe we could do that without a server because your not going to look for the best host you just add people to your friends list talk about games look at recent news to do with static creations and this will be great if we have it plus when we make games like the dogs revolution 'arena'(it will be extension we will make maybe later on where you can battle your mates online with your dog lol)maybe you could have a big list dispalying all users online with a lobby where you can chat and they 'meddle' it out between them selves who will host a game -does this make sense to you | |

| I agree. But heres an idea anyway: If the person who is acting as the server logs off, a new one will be chosen and someone else will be the server. That way, as long as at least 1 person is online, itll work! And maybe have it connect to the site too? | |
